Questions

About the styles.

Are the example sites real businesses?

No. Each of the sixty-nine example sites is for a made-up business, with made-up names, people and prices, to show how a style holds up on a whole site.

What is in each example site?

A whole homepage in the style, then "This style, explained": what makes the style, where it works, and its colours with their contrast in light and dark.

Do the example sites work on phones?

Yes. Each one is built for every width, from a phone to a large screen, in a light and a dark version.

Can styles be mixed?

Yes. A style is a set of choices for colour, type, shape and motion, so parts of two styles can make a third, as long as it stays readable and keeps its contrast.

Are the colours checked for contrast?

Every example site's text and button colours are checked against WCAG AA in both themes, and the Colours panel on each site shows the result.
