Records · since 1967

Twelve thousand second-hand records in a basement that still smells of incense. Dig as long as you like, and play anything before you buy.

The crates

Dig in.

  • 1,240 records

    Psych and garage

Fuzz guitars and organ, from the basement up.

  • 980 records

    Soul and funk

Horns, grooves and the odd tambourine.

  • 760 records

    Folk and songwriters

Twelve strings and something to say.

Now spinning

Play it before you buy it.

Three turntables at the back, with headphones and a beanbag each. Every record is checked, cleaned and graded by hand before it goes in a crate.

Groovy questions.

Do you buy records?

Yes. Bring them in on weekday mornings and we make an offer on the spot.

Can you find a record for me?

Leave us a want list. We call when it turns up.

Do you sell players?

A few restored turntables at a time, each with a year of repairs.

Come down and dig.

Open every day but Monday, noon to eight. Down the stairs, follow the music.
